Adventures in Thailand

I went to Thailand for the first time in March 2017.
Traveling to a foreign country could be scary at first, but hopefully after reading my post you will be more confident in going.

I didn't have to preplan my hotel stays. There were vast amounts of very decent hostels, and hotels available everyday. So, don't be scared if you think you wont have a place to sleep.

One of my favorite things about Thailand is that they have Uber. So, if you're tired of the mile long walks you can just call for an Uber to your rescue. Also note that Uber is not available in all parts of Thailand. Forget the tuk tuks or taxis. They rip you off!! One time the tuk tuk guy asked for 400 THB while Uber only charged me 60 THB. That's a huge difference!

If you're worried about data plan. T-Mobile has a phone plan where you can use your current unlimited data plan in Thailand.
So I could browse the internet, look for a place to explore, find somewhere to eat, and request an Uber wherever I'm at.

Food is plentiful, and the beach is beautiful! Clear sparkly water!

My favorite part of any travel is pretending to be a local.

Hmm... I wonder what they sell here?

I met a man yesterday in the train on my way back home. He was a Thailand big fan if I can say it that way. So he told me pretty much all I needed to know about the country, the culture, where to find the best food, etc... So funny that you covered this topic today 😏. GREAT POST

Yay! You really should go! I was really surprise to see a lot of solo backpackers. Food is everywhere you go. Food stalls on almost every block too. :)

Lol okay I'll consider to go but I'll need a guide since I dont speak Thai 😂. But my next trip on my own will be USA in September, visiting some fam on the west-coast.

I went to Thailand for the first time in January and loved it. The motorcycle-taxi journey dodging traffic coming from every direction was quite the experience though. I didn't make it to the south but hope to go back soon.

South side is very fast pace, and has a lot of poor areas. If you don't mind the city life then check out Bangkok. :) I didn't mind getting down and dirty. I'm from Vietnam, and Thailand is way more developed.
