how is that different from any other form of marketing? You're looking at bid-bots all wrong. They don't actually guarantee a high payout. What they do is guarantee that your post is visible to more people than it would be without them. Its no different than paying facebook, or instagram, or CNN to promote your post to your target demographic, only the money that you pay for marketing goes into the pockets of regular people rather than big corporations.
If you do happen to make money after using the bid-bot, its not that the bid-bot generated anything extra its because the marketing effort that you invested in payed off, and other people upvoted your post as well.
Another thing that many people fail to realize is that the number displayed is not exactly the number payed out to the creator. To begin 25% of the total reward goes to curation so if you spend $80 and your post gets $100 in rewards thats a net loss of $15. Then you also have to factor in the SBD vs SP vs STEEM these ratios change daily and alter the payout accordingly.
now bit bots arnt so good but before they were like full ponzi schemes. advertising on fb is nothing like bid bots . fb you pay and they advertise for you but dont pay you anything. bid bots upvote you more then you put in after payout. that is a ponzi scheme. but as i said they dont any more and im glade they dont it was making steemit a joke.
that is not how facebook works at all, you pay and your posts are boosted so that people have a higher chance of seeing your post.literally works exactly the same way as seemits
then why hasnt steem broken its bond to bitcoin
i think its still to early plus its the only coin getting used, plus steemit is almost a poniz scheme which dosnt help
would you please clarify what you mean by "almost a ponzi scheme"
