HODL Terminology

in #terminology6 years ago

In December 2013, the term Hodl took place in the Bitcoin Forum board, which was incorrectly typed by a user. Like many things on the Internet, people also liked the error and started using the correct spelling.

It is understood that the use of the term whale comes from the gambling industry to express someone who can afford to lose a great deal of money. In the world of investment that involves crypto, it means the same thing up and down, but in Steem it often means that you only have too much Steem or SP.

A lot of crypto slang comes from the world of investment. Pumping and unloading, bag holders, to the moon or to the moon are all intertwined with the world of investment.

There is no official way for any of these to occur. People just adopt it or they don't accept it, and most of us do it because others have done, just as you can see people who use Steemians using Steem.
