Asphalt Mixing Plants function. Understanding Asphalt Mixing Plant Or commonly abbreviated AMP Is a concrete asphalt production machine (hot mix) which consists of a series of tools / machinery components to process rock material (aggregate) sand and asphalt into hot mix products of different types, according to job mix , with the design as needed from the type of road hardening work.

In the aggregate mixing process in the form of sand, the stone after going through the heating process and weighing with a certain mixture, then mixed with asphalt until produced hot mix or asphalt concrete ready to fit into the dump truck, then sent to the field.images (9).jpeg
Working Methods of Asphalt Mixing Plants
AMP (Asphalt Mixing Plant) when viewed from the mobility, can generally be divided into two types, namely:
Permanent AMP, with some type of production;
AMPs are portable and can be installed near the project site to produce asphalt mixtures.

AMP When viewed from the type of production then in general AMP can be divided into three types, namely:
AMP batch type (scales;)
AMP is continuous;
AMP Drum-mix type. al.images (10).jpeg
Asphalt Mixing Plants Tool Components
Aggregate supply unit or Cold Aggregate Feeder;
Screen Unit or Screening Unit;
Hot Bin or Bin Aggregate (Graded Aggregate Bins);
Mixer or Pugmill;
Asphalt Cement Control Unit ()
Unit Burner;
Dryer or Dryer Unit;
Dry Dust Collector;
Dust Colector Wet Cyclone;
Asphalt supply unit;
Hot-Oil Heater.
In a batch and continous AMP sieve unit, the hot aggregates carried by the elevator bucket are sent to the sieve unit to be further filtered and separated into the requested sizes and the remaining sizes are sent into a graded aggregate bin. Most AMPs use a flat type sieve with a vibrating system, which usually consists of 4 (four) decks. The size of the sieve on each deck depends on the aggregate to be produced. The top and the deck are covered by a scalping sieve that will move the oversized material and reduce the material into the exhaust door. The sieve unit should be cleaned daily and checked and to anticipate the possibility of damage or tear, if damage occurs then the sieve must be replaced.
Mixer / Pugmill
Aggregate of hot bin after weighing, aggregate and bitumen mixed in pugmill mixer. Pugmill mixer is a mixing twin mixer designed to mix the material well and to wrap the aggregate with asphalt. The mixing time should be as short as possible to obtain a uniform aggregate blanket on all aggregate items. Excessive mixing times tend to cause degradation of aggregates and burning asphalt.

Once the aggregate enters the pugmill and a short period of drying of the mixture occurs, it will be followed by wet mixing after the asphalt is sprayed into the pugmill. The pugmill mixer (Mixer) consists of a chamber and twin shafts to mix, with rotation (counter rotating shafts) with paddles or pedals at the end of each pedal stalk, and an asphalt spray bar.

The pedals are formed to provide maximum efficiency in the mixing and should be in such a position that the clearance between the tip of the pedal and the mixing chamber wall is less than 1.5 times the aggregate maxima size, otherwise the obstruction area may increase so that the material is not mixed and covered by asphalt evenly.

Asphalt Cement Control Unit
To get the exact amount of bitumen in the mixture with the tolerances specified in the specification used scales or (Scales) meter. For that the amount of flow or discharge of the asphalt given to the mixer should always be observed. In AMP batch type there are three kinds of scales that are aggregate scales, fine material scales (filler), and asphalt scales.

In a batch type AMP, the scales for the aggregate are locked directly beneath the graded aggregate bin. The weight of the hopper is transmitted or transmitted by a scalp mechanism typically mounted by a springless pointer scale so that the aggregate weight of each bin and the amount in each batch can be read and recorded. The weighing sequence of each bin must be carefully observed and it is preferable to weigh the aggregate fraction large or coarser precedence.

If the AMP unit is to operate, it is recommended that the scale of the scales be cleaned, each part checked, and periodic calibration of scales by the competent authority must be carried out. AMP should use an automatic control system to get the mixing in the correct proportions.

Woff, woff!

Hello @audison, Nice to meet you!

I'm a guide dog living in KR community. I can see that you want to contribute to KR community and communicate with other Korean Steemians. I really appreciate it and I'd be more than happy to help.

KR tag is used mainly by Koreans, but we give warm welcome to anyone who wish to use it. I'm here to give you some advice so that your post can be viewed by many more Koreans. I'm a guide dog after all and that's what I do!

Tips:

  • If you're not comfortable to write in Korean, I highly recommend you write your post in English rather than using Google Translate.
    Unfortunately, Google Translate is terrible at translating English into Korean. You may think you wrote in perfect Korean, but what KR Steemians read is gibberish. Sorry, even Koreans can't understand your post written in Google-Translated Korean.
  • So, here's what might happen afterward. Your Google-Translated post might be mistaken as a spam so that whales could downvote your post. Yikes! I hope that wouldn't happen to you.
  • If your post is not relevant to Korea, not even vaguely, but you still use KR tag, Whales could think it as a spam and downvote your post. Double yikes!
  • If your post is somebody else's work(that is, plagiarism), then you'll definitely get downvotes.
  • If you keep abusing tags, you may be considered as a spammer. It may result to put you into the blacklist. Oops!

I sincerely hope that you enjoy Steemit without getting downvotes. Because Steemit is a wonderful place. See? Korean Steemians are kind enough to raise a guide dog(that's me) to help you!

Woff, woff! 🐶
