Brave Browser Faster | Safer | Ad-free

The first thought that comes to our mind is “Another browser… why?

There are many browsers available today of which we have our favorite browsers like Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer, Edge and the list may go on. After all “why to trust a new browser?” is an obvious question that comes to mind and we ignore what is most important to our lives – PRIVACY and SAFTY.

Yes, Brave is the only browser which focuses completely on the users than the advertisers and trackers. Also Brave is a browser from a team which had immense online experience behind it or rather would like to be called as innovators in this vast space. Yes, BRAVE browser another accomplishment under the leadership of Brendan Eich.

Brendan Eich is an American technologist and creator of the JavaScript programming language and also a co-founder of the Mozilla Foundation and the Mozilla Corporation. He served as the Mozilla Corporation's CEO and CTO.
Though he doesn’t require an introduction, it’s good to know that the Brave browser has the great expertise and trust behind it.

Brave is the fastest browser and beats most of the common browser (viz. Chrome and Safari) pretty easily. According to the speed tests published on Brave's website, you could do the analysis yourself.

Comparison Test Metrics for Brave on Mobile
To simulate realistic end-user conditions, testing was performed across a range of physical devices, from three different locations. Device data connections were proxied using Charles Proxy software, which was also used for network traffic capture and analysis. Phone testing was performed in portrait orientation. Tablet testing was performed in landscape orientation.

According to me the most useful purpose of Brave is the Ad-tracker and Blocking capability. Brave blocks ads and trackers by default so you browse faster and safer. You can add ad blocking extensions to your existing browser, but it’s complicated and they often conflict with one another because browser companies don't test them. Worse, the leading ad blockers still allow some ads and all trackers. This save hours of productivity and data on every use of this browser.

Brave’s speed saves the average user hours of time each and every day. Brave can even tracks the time you saved already. Users typically save about 5 seconds of load time per page on a typical cell connection by not downloading ads and trackers. Desktop users see similar magnificent savings as Time is Money at last.

Brave blocks ads and trackers, reducing your chances of being infected by malware, ransomware and spyware. In 2016, infections increased by 132%.

Brave even has HTTPS upgrades, which means more of your connections are encrypted, protecting your identity, browsing, payments and more.

Popular sites host as many as 70 trackers. Brave blocks the software that follows you around.

Keep on steemin’

Thanks @pouchon. I am glad, that motivates to write good stuff. I am planning to write about "BAT crypto with Brave". Stay in touch. Cheers!

Best browser out there Imo. I'm using it now, so much better for streaming anything. On YT never be interrupted by ads (UNLESS YOU WANT TO!). Isn't that beautiful? You actually ahve a choice ;). Then you can contribute BAT for their lack of ad revenue. Beautiful browser, beautiful idea! I'm contributing 50 BAT/month between my fav websites. Imagine if all 1 million or so are doing the same! That's starting to look like a lot of money. ;)

Yeah, true. This is just the start and am sure this would spread by end of 2018 as crypto decentralized space evolves as a standard all over the globe. Even 1 million seems tiny then.
I am using Brave constantly for all purpose within my phone and PC. No doubt excellent browser by Brendan who has lots of expertise in this domain. Block ads, trackers, malware and digital fingerprinting hurt the ecosystem and the end-user. Yes, rightly said now we have a choice against the powerful companies like Google & others which forces you to watch ads for their benefits. Let's see where it takes.
Following you mate, please keep in touch to share your views. We can make this community great again :). Thanks n Cheers!!!

do you earn BAT browsing with Brave? I dont remember...

what do you know about that?

Are you actively contributing using BAT's? If you are you always get a share back a couple weeks after your contribution goes out. I contribute 50/month and I've received 30 back (total for the 2 months). The more people are contributing this goes up i believe. You should read that section of the whitepaper or just go to the FAQ's page.

There are many things; if you are a content creator you can register and users can tip publishers directly using BAT. Also now they have indirect integration of youtube through Brave.
I am planning to write a detailed blog on "BAT with Brave" soon. I will loop you in for sure. Hope that could brief you about most of the things related to BAT.
Thanks for you query. Following you. Will keep you posted...

Hey @ljpaez; I have written a post on BAT integration with Brave. Please check if it helps you.

Anytime mate, You are welcome. I am glad it was helpful. Also I explored couple of things which I will write in my next blog. Thanks for visiting. Cheers!!!

Very informative post. Everyone should know about Brave browser. Nobody wants his/her activities to be traced on internet and its very unfortunate to know that few browsers actually can trace your private data.
Brave has given a new hope. Even I am using Brave browser and I have got rid of all those unwanted ads :D

Thanks for sharing this post.

True. Try it out; you may like it. Cheers!

So many positive comments about the brave browser made me curious. I will definitely download it and share my experience with all of you. Thanks for such a nice post.

Yes, you should. So far I had no issues. Now planning to test duckduckgo instead of Google. Do share your experience with everyone. Cheers!!!

Installed it but the icon doesn't appear in my desktop nor in my folders. The only place where it shows up is in the programs & features in the control panel. I can't get it to re-launch once I close the first window. o.o

Oh OK, sorry to hear it is not working for you as expected. Seems like you are using Windows OS. In that case just drag "Brave icon" from "Programs" to your desktop or even task bar to create additional shortcuts. Hope that helps and resolve your issue. If not Brave support is simply excellent.
FYI, you can contact Brave Sampson on Twitter who is very active and helps Brave users troubleshoot the issues.
Hope this helps. Cheers!

I just checked their Github forums and found a solution. I like it, it's fast too.

Oh really, that's great. Usually it's tough to move to anything new but if it's for our good we need to. Cheers!!!

Good article! I use Brave mobile browser, much faster than chrome on my Android.

Thanks. Yes, I have made it default on both; my phone and PC. It works great. Also I have started using duckduckgo dot com with Brave wherever possible to avoid tracking through google search.

I'm going to download Brave browser. Thank you so much @themystic for sharing this.

Followed you! :)

Hey, you should. It's reliable, fast and safe. Thanks for following mate.

I'm using it. It's pretty fast. Love it! :)

It's great to know. Thanks! 😊

Thanks. Yup, I guess we all should start using this browser. It also show the stats as shown in one of the pics above. I have started using it on my PC n mobile too. It's great and feels safe.

Wow! Great!

I've been using Brave for a while now, but find it incredibly slow... Maybe it doesn't agree with my old laptop... I keep having to go back to Chrome because that's faster.

Oh OK. Chrome may work better but it is something to really worry about as it traces almost everything by default. Block ads, trackers, malware and digital fingerprinting hurt the ecosystem and the end-user. I would rather prefer Mozilla Firefox just for safety reasons.
Also I would like to inform you that Brave support is simply excellent. FYI, you can contact Brave Sampson on Twitter who is very active and helps Brave users troubleshoot the issues. Try it out; hope that helps :). Cheers!!!

Oh that's good to know, thank you! I'll get a new laptop in a couple of days and hopefully that solves it. If not I'll contact them!

You are welcome. I am glad the information was helpful. Following you. Cheers!!!
