Crazy!!! Questions you will be asked in Big Companies (Part - 1) (Repost)

I have been working on some tech companies for a while. And when I was preparing myself for the interview, I found some pretty funny and interesting questions. Those sound funny and crazy at first. But if you think deeply, this questions start to make sense, and they have really cool and mind-blowing answers. Give it a try if you are interested. There will be more in coming posts.

1. There are two small (by small I mean you can touch the ceiling easily) rooms . Room #1 has 3 switches and room #2 has three incandescent light bulbs. Every light bulb is operated by different switch. You can go to room #2 just once. You have to find out which bulb is operated by which switch. Can you figure it out?

2. You are given 8 identical stones. One of them is slightly (you won't know the difference using your hands) heavier than the others (all other stones weigh exactly same). The only way to measure the weight is by using a simple mechanical balance. But there is a catch. You can only use the balance only twice. You just have to find the heavier ball. Can you do it?
