Will Coronavirus Propel The Development of Injectable Nanobots?

in #technology5 years ago

In times like these, you really start thinking about things that could make it all go away. Hundreds of thousands of people in the world have been affected by Covid-19 and thousands have lost their lives.

It has also adversely impacted billions of people worldwide as regular life has come to a halt. The incredible people in the medical industry are doing god's work in helping all the people who are suffering from this virus.

I have been thinking deeply about all of this for days and was wondering whether "injectable nanobots" could have prevented this disaster or could have solved it before it even got out of hand.

It may sound like a sci-fi idea to you but remember, a lot of the technologies that we use today were once in the realm of science fiction and seemed totally impossible before they became... reality!

Nanobots - Ensuring Perfect Health?

So, the idea with nanobots is that there would be millions of tiny bots (hundreds of times smaller than the width of a hair), that would get injected in our bodies via a regular syringe.

These bots would then swim around in our bloodstream and could travel to virtually anywhere in the body. They could complement our bodies' own immune system. Together, they could defeat any virus, bacteria or any other organism that may cause us harm.

They could even be used to deliver medicine in a targeted manner. Let's say only a few cells in your stomach need a particular medicine. These bots could be programmed to deliver the medicine to only those few cells. This could limit or completely do away with the side effects that we normally see in drug usage.

A lot of research has been done in this field already and it seems like we already have the technology to make these nanobots. But since this would be a huge step, it would obviously need to be tested thoroughly before becoming available in the mainstream.

Will recent events propel the advancement of this technology? Only time will tell.

Yeah! Currently, experts believe that this could become a reality by 2030! Really looking forward to this if it can help humanity be healthy and ward off diseases.

Everything you said is expressed in #BloodShot movie.
I think humans have come up with this technology, but they haven't announced it yet.

I hope the coronavirus goes away sooner.
