These are really handy devices for controlling non-smart devices with your iPhone, Android phone, or even Alexa. Once you connect it to your Wi-Fi you can then turn it on and off using the mobile app or just saying "Alexa turn off my [insert device name]".

You can even turn it off on your phone when you are not home.

Really hand if you are crypto mining and you need to hard reboot a frozen machine. You can have the outlet turn on in the morning and start your coffee and radio. I'm sure there are much more creative uses than this, but most people can find use for at least one smart outlet.

The app (and Alexa) can support as many Outlets as you want, and they do not require a smart hub! Not requiring a smart hub is a huge advantage as many of these smart devices require a smart hub that locks you into one brand.
