Google Discontinues Nexus lineup!

in #technology7 years ago

In the Nexus series, Google used to merge their stock Android with premium hardware from different companies. This became pretty popular but, now, with the launch of the Pixel devices, Google has discontinued the entire Nexus lineup.

The Nexus lineup consisted of the following devices:

Smartphones:

Nexus One (HTC)
Nexus S (Samsung)
Galaxy Nexus (Samsung)
Nexus 4 (LG)
Nexus 5 (LG)
Nexus 6 (Motorola)
Nexus 5X (LG)
Nexus 6P (Huawei)
Nexus 6P

Tablets:

Nexus 10 (Samsung)
Nexus 9 (HTC)

All the products have not been a success but they have given the world some cool features to crave for. The Nexus lineup will most likely be remembered for the Nexus 6P, which was one hell of a smartphone!
All the Nexus devices have also been pulled out of the Google Store. So, Google has basically replaced the Nexus lineup with their very own Pixel devices. Hardware and software – straight from Google! Seems nice, right? But in reality they cost more than the Nexus devices and provide not-so-premium features.

Unfortunately Google has discontinued their entire Nexus lineup. Let’s wait and see what the future Pixel devices bring to the table or will they face the same outcome?
