Apple is not enjoying much about MacBook Pro hardware reliability right now and looks set to continue after the company has identified a limited hardware problem affecting the latest 13-inch MacBook Pro 2017 models with the function keys (without Touch Bar).
The news comes through an internal reminder that has been distributed to Apple stores and Apple authorized service providers in the last week.
In particular, the memo notes that the logic board or solid state drive of the MacBook Pro may not work properly and that both hardware components need to be replaced at the same time as the warranty. The note does not go into detail on why this is happening, especially because both sides seem to need to be replaced simultaneously, nor does it say what percentage of the machines will be affected by this new problem.
