RE: LIFE PRO TIP: Your Smartphone has Emergency Features that Just Might Save Your Life
You seem to know a lot about this, just wondering if there are any apps which connect to pacemakers for rapid care?
there are different versions of pacemakers unless an app is available when after implant for recipients.
Or possible a pacemaker replacement?
Hi Moorsie, not really sure of any apps that do what you're referring to. The idea for this post originally came to me as a way to respond to respond to vertigo and other symptoms of Meniere's disease, which is a rare, chronic inner ear disorder that I suffer from and write about. I wanted to give people a way to call for help in situations where they couldn't answer their phones.
Oh okay cool, none the less very interesting. I know a friend of mine who suffers vertigo too ill definitly share this with them!
The Shake2Alert app mentioned above has a Man Down function which could be useful for vertigo. Because there's no need to use any buttons , it's probably the easiest thing to use in situations where someone can't operate their phone normally.
