The world of tomorrow pt.1
Faster and faster, and with the help of emerging, blockchain-based technology, we are moving towards the world of tomorrow.
The world of tomorrow actually reminds a lot of the world that is long-forgotten. The world of traders and merchants.
Not one where corporations control resources and banks control the supply of money. But one where those who create and slave away actually can reap the fruits of their hard work for themselves.
The world of tomorrow, with the help of technological breakthrough, helps us use whatever we have at our hands, to take the power back.
How this will work?
We are already seeing several projects aiming for decentralization and giving the power back to the people.
One example is the Power Ledger project. They created a platform where producers of energy can sell the surplus to consumers, while maintaining the value of existing distribution networks.
A different example is the Golem. Golem is a global, open sourced, decentralized supercomputer that anyone can access. It's made up of the combined power of user's machines, from personal laptops to entire datacenters.
All these projects issue a token that can either be cashed in or exchanged for other tokens.
In a perfect world, a person having invested a lot of money in datacentres could sell the idle computing power in exchange for electrical power and food.
What do you think of this world of tomorrow?
