- Passenger Elevator aquarium, the AquaDom
The AquaDom in Berlin, Germany, is a cylindrical acrylic glass aquarium with built-in inside the Elevator. It is located in the hotel Radisson SAS Hotel in the area of mit.2
The diameter of the aquarium is more than 11 meters, and the lift is right in the middle of this 25-meter structure. AquaDom is filled with 900 000 liters of sea water, which floats more than 1,500 fish of 50 different species. Falkirk wheel carries court TV Union and Fort Clyde. Named after the nearby town in Scotland, it was opened in 2002 and is the only rotating ship's hoist in the world.4
The difference in height between the two channels is 24 meters, which corresponds to the 8-storey building. From opposite sides of the wheel are caissons — depressions filled with water in which swims the court, rotating at the same speed as the wheel but in the opposite direction. The wheel turns 180 degrees, moving the court from the upper level down, which takes several minutes.
