Toyota told about the C-HR for the Japanese market

The segment of compact crossovers continues to grow, and the Toyota C-HR (Coupé High Rider) is going to take place. The new model will go on sale in Japan at the end of the year. USA and Europe will have to wait 2017

In Japan, Toyota offers four configuration C-HR. In versions S and G installed a hybrid system with a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine. In the S-T and G-T uses a 1.2-liter 4-cylinder engine. Toyota does not report characteristics of power plants, but in Europe the power of the hybrid is 120 HP (90 kW). Turbocharged models give out 114 HP (85 kW). In some markets of Europe available a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated 4-cylinder engine 148 HP (110 kW).

According to rumors, Toyota has announced plans to release a charged version of the crossover. This information reinforces the participation of the C-HR in the race 24 hours of nürburgring. In the racing version used a turbocharged 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine 178 HP (133 kW).

In Japan all equipment C-HR installed the driver assistance package Toyota Safety Sense P. it includes brake assist, a system warning lane change, auto high beam and cruise control. You can also purchase additional equipment, including a system of blind spot monitoring and warning system about the objects moving in the transverse direction of the back.

The first concept C-HR was presented at the Paris motor show 2014, and its updated version - at the Frankfurt motor show 2015. The compact crossover will face serious competition in the person of the HR-V, Nissan Juke, Mazda CX-3 and Jeep Renegade.
