The case for low power community radio (against politics as usual)

I have been working with a group of active dedicated volunteers over the past 2 years to get a low power community radio station up and running in Eugene Oregon USA. The parent non profit is Eugene Peaceworks (https://eugpeaceworks.org/) and their startup community low power radio is (https://kepw.org/). Over this time period we have tried many forms of fundraising, but have run into many walls because of the extended political season which has dried up a large percentage of non profit funding. The FCC has given us an extension on our construction permit until February 2017 to be up and running and I am looking for non traditional help in raising about $20,000 by the end of 2016. Can we get help from the steemit community on this important community endeavor? Thank you.
