There are so many technological advancements Now to last me a life time that I sometimes wonder how I was able to live in the past. But I hope we won't be over-run by bots.... Haha.
That's the hope. The general consensus seems to be that technology is actually a part of our evolution. We evolved biologically until we became technological beings. The next phase of evolution just before we reach the singularity would be merging biological and technological evolution into a single human evolution.
As such we would not be so completely different from the machines which we fear might be the end of us. I'm sure that's a little too much for you, isn't it? Hahaha.
