Kazakhstan launched the first network for IoT
Kazakhstan has launched the first in the country and throughout the Central Asian network for Internet of Things based on energy-efficient technology long-range LPWAN (Low-Power Wide-Area Network).
Running was done jointly by the development company "Swift Telematics" and the official representative in the region - "Swift Telematics Asia". The pilot project was implemented with the support of the engineering company EFL Metering, Customer LLP "Water Resources Marketing", a leading regional company in Kazakhstan's water supply.
for the Internet of Things Network on designed to make the lives of citizens more comfortable by improving the quality of urban services: automatic data collection Housing resources monitoring devices, control burglar alarm and security systems, monitor the weather and climate, the work of street lighting, control of urban parking lots and residential services, taking into account the use of municipal vehicles and so on.
Starting telematic network Swift in Kazakhstan started from Shymkent - administrative and business capital of South Kazakhstan region. This southern metropolis is building a Smart City (Smart City) based on wireless technology LPWAN. The capacity of the network at the start of up to 2 000 000 units working simultaneously for utilities or other areas of activity: water meters, gas and electricity meters, heat meters, parking, agricultural, and other sensors.
network launch work was done in dense urban areas and mountainous hilly terrain of Central Asia. Engineers took 2 days for preparatory work: the choice of optimal positions for stations and obtaining permits. Next 7 days left to the deployment of network infrastructure: the stations, testing and launch of the network in operation.
Total run: network for Internet of Things covers 100% of the territory of Shymkent, including areas bordering villages and the airport. It is significant that the most remote from the host station apparatus - obschedomovoy metering water consumption Bozaryk residential area. It is located at a distance of 8.5 km from the nearest base station is placed in a metal box for shielding the hill while stably transmits its readings to a network.

Under the state program of energy efficiency in the Republic of Kazakhstan company "Swift Telematics Asia" is preparing to deploy a network for Boarding things in other big cities of the country: Karaganda, Almaty and Astana until the end of 2016. In addition to running the network in these cities is planned to establish mnogoresursny records at the facilities of the Ministry of Investment and Development of Kazakhstan, kindergartens and schools, as well as in apartment houses with support from local service organizations.
That's great news. Thanks NB-IoT 5G : LPWA
