Have you ever downloaded a file with the fear of getting a virus? Well, I have. By googling on the Internet I discovered a way to

found out if the downloaded program is a bad one. You may say that antiviruses deal with these things, but, It happend that my (paid ) antivirus didn't identify any viruses. But before we start, let's talk about viruses:

-WHAT REALLY IS A VIRUS-

" Viruses are tiny organisms that may lead to mild to severe illnesses in humans, animals and plants"
Of course, as we can understand, this virus definition is about the medical field. What about the IT one?

Wikipedia says that:
"A computer virus is a type of malicious software program ("malware") that, when executed, replicates itself by modifying other computer programs and inserting its own code."

-FOLLOW THESE STEPS-

1)First of all, you have to download and install 7-ZIP( a program used for decompressing and compressing files). You can download it by clicking HERE and, once the download is ended, install it.

2)Reach into the folder where the alleged exe file is. RBM on the file and choose 7-Zip => "Extract here"

This action may produce ONE of the 3 results below:

NOTHING HAPPENS. MOST OF THE PROGRAMS I TESTED, PRODUCED THIS RESULT.	THE RESULT OF THE EXTRACTION IS A FOLDER WITHIN OTHER FOLDERS. THE IMPORTANT THING IS THAT ANY OF THESE FOLDERS MUSTN'T HAVE EXE FILE INSIDE THEM.	The third and the last one produces a folder with two exe files: HERE IT IS! Most of the times, the malware will have a strange name unlike the program with the GUI. WE FOUND OUT THE VIRUS!

vedere, prima che lo installiamo, se il programma scaricato è pericoloso o no. Naturalmente, sosterrai che che gli antivirus si occupano di queste cose, da una parte hai ragione, tuttavia alcune volte è capitato che il mio antivirus ( pagato non poco) non ha identificato alcuna minaccia. Ma prima di iniziare, vediamo cosa sono questi virus:

-COS'È UN VIRUS-

"I virus sono piccoli organismi che possono portare a malattie lievi o severe negli esseri umani, animali e piante"

Naturalmente, come possiamo capire, questa definizione riguarda il settore medico. E per quanto riguarda quello informatico?

Wikipedia dice che:
"Un virus è un tipo di programma software dannoso (" malware ") che, quando viene eseguito, si replica modificando altri programmi informatici".

-SEGUI LE SEGUENTI ISTRUZIONI-

1)Innanzitutto, è necessario scaricare e installare 7-ZIP (un programma utilizzato per la decompressione e la compressione dei file). Puoi scaricarlo facendo clic su QUI e, una volta terminato il download, installalo.

2)Raggiungi la cartella in cui è presente il file exe sospetto. Tasto destro sul file e scegli 7-Zip => "Estrai qui".

Questa azione può produrre uno dei 3 risultati seguenti:

PRIMO	SECONDO	TERZO
NON SUCCEDE NIENTE. LA MAGGIOR PARTE DEI PROGRAMMI CHE HO TESTATO, HANNO PRODOTTO QUESTO RISULTATO: NON E' PRESENTE ALCUN VIRUS.	IL RISULTATO DELL'ESTRAZIONE è UNA CARTELLA CON DENDRO ALTRE CARTELLE. LA COSA IMPORTANTE E' CHE NESSUNO DI QUESTE CARTELLE DEVE CONTENERE FILE ESEGUIBILI (.EXE )	L'ULTIMO PRODUCE UNA CARTELLA CON DUE FILE ESEGUIBILI ( ABBIAMO SCOVATO IL VIRUS). LA MAGGIOR PARTE DELLE VOLTE, IL MALWARE AVRA' UN NOME STRANO A DIFFERENZA DEL PROGRAMMA CON L'INTERFACCIA GRAFICA.
