Random thoughts about technology
Here are some interesting thoughts about technology (spoiler: some of them are stupid).
As self driving cars become the norm, the term "self driving" will flip to describe someone still driving themself manualy (source). And "Can you drive a manual?" won't mean what it does now.
Rich people are becoming elves - low birthrates, long lifespans and magic-like technology.
I'm not sure if an antivirus software is effective, because no viruses are detected on a computer, or ineffective, because no viruses are detected on a computer (source).
The future will look futuristic just because we will be trying to make it look futuristic.
Before video games existed, the phrase "Crap, I died" was probably never spoken.
The future in the 80's is the present now, where is my hoverboard?

Some more thoughts on social media
If a million of us united on social media, we would have the power to make people famous.
Social Media is like alcohol: some people use it safely to aid their social life, others have way too much and end up saying a lot of stupid things (source).
Social media is to real life what porn is to real sex.
I've feel that technology is ultimately heading toward making us Gods. We want "Tech" to help us:
The singularity is near. Soon, technology will make nothing impossible. In our heart...we just want to be like God.
Social media is to real life what porn is to real sex bwahaahahaaaa! Love that. Anyway. Hello! Not sure where you found me, but as I was going through my recent followers, you happened to appear. I'd like to welcome you to my village and show my support of your exploits by following you back to keep up with your posts I might like, and upvoting and curating this, your most recent original post. My way of saying thanks :)
Technology what would we do without it?, The world would absolutely be a poorer and unhealthier place, with all the advances in tech we can all achieve so much yet it also has to be managed and channelled, It offers hope to the very poorest in the world but an over abundance of it can bring its own problems to the richer countries also. i read somewhere that the average size of children's thumbs is increasing because of the amount of video games they play lol and there has been much debate about the obesity issues because children spend too much time sitting in front of a screen. I am however sure that advances in tech are absolutely fascinating and the pace with which new things are developing is mind blowing, one can only wonder what the next 10 years will bring, i remember sitting in front of a zx81 as a child and it had a 1k memory, i was so amazed and have been ever since at the way computers and everything else has evolved, just a small caveat though is that there is still a real world out there for us to enjoy if we can stop looking at our phones or move away from our screens for just a short while :)
