Our generation is so technology oriented that books rarely have kept any importance. It's not that use of
technology is bad but it should not take over books anyday.
How has technology been helpful ?
With developing technology, quality education also increases as it makes online teaching and learning
easier making teacher and students face to face through live or recorded classes.
These type of online videos are now available for children studying in 6th till 12th, for competitive
exams like all engineering and medical entrance examinations, civil service examinations, bank job
entrance examinations and a lot more.
Also classrooms these days are having smart class facilities reducing the need of teacher interaction and illustrating the content through the digital medium totally.
Online teaching has helped students study even by just sitting at home. These days various entrance
examinations are also conducted online to maintain transparency which is even better.
How will books hold that same equal importance ?
From the very beginning, books have been everything. Even though advancement in technology brought
about so many changes in the teaching and education pattern but still books will remain to have a
different place in everyone's life. It is ultimately everything from the books only that we get to see
online. And books can be with us for long but spending longer periods of time in front of any digital
medium can be harmful for our eyes.
