What happens if the internet is off? Can we off the internet? If you can then how and, If not then why not? Today we will try to know about it.

In the world of technology often such questions arise in our mind, and nobody can answer it.

What is Internet?

Internet is a network of many computers in which one computer is connected to another, the other is connected to the third, the third is connected to the fourth, and so many computers connected to each other through a network which makes the Internet.

As you know, internet has not been created from single computer, it is made up of many computers, so the shutdown of a computer can not be off the whole internet. There should be some concrete reasons for shutting down the Internet, such as riots, fight, and gang war or to throw away fake news, then government off the Internet to that place so no Fake News can be viral.

Today what people do, take picture of another country's riots and spread the picture of that riots are happening in another place, people are being killed here so that more rioting and condition will be worsens. To stop these fake news viral the government off the internet on that place.

To shut down the Internet, the government blocks the network by connecting to the service provider of that area, which stops the internet. but through this we can not off the Internet of whole country, because there is a lot of organization or private company that uses the Internet through their own satellites which do not have much control over the government.

It is very difficult to shut down the Internet altogether and if the internet is shut down in some way in the entire country, then there will be a lot of damage to it as it would not even be from any major cyber attack.

Now you should be wondering why?

So let me tell you whatever the things that are working today, all are running through to the Internet, whether it is our bank, government sector, private sector, or the medical sector, all are connected through the internet and if the internet is off, then all the work will stop, even those who do bitcoin mining will also stop, so you can imagine how big loss would be, if the internet stopped.

In 2007 there was a cyber attack which happened on ICANN which is total 13, two of these 13 servers were taken completely by the virus in their control and disables them.But 11 server who had saved and were not even touch by the virus due to which early recovery was done.

If you don't know what is the ICANN. So let me tell you this is an organization that is responsible for running of the Internet. They have the keys to the Internet and if they want then it can off the entire internet. All the information that exists in the internet, which is connected to the Servers is with these organization and if the internet is off due to any cyber attack, then they have full backup, so that it can be restored to the Internet again and Can turn on.

So you must have realized that it is very difficult to off the internet of the whole world.

क्या होगा अगर इंटरनेट को बंद कर दिया जाए? क्या हम इंटरनेट को बंद कर सकते हैं? अगर कर सकते हैं तो कैसे और अगर नहीं कर सकते तो क्यों नहीं कर सकते? आज हम इसके बारे में जानने की कोशिश करेंगे!

टेक्नोलॉजी की दुनिया में अक्सर हमारे मन में ऐसे सवाल आते हैं, और बहुत लोग इसका जवाब नहीं दे पाते।

इंटरनेट क्या है?

इंटरनेट बहुत सारे कंप्यूटर का एक नेटवर्क है जिसमें एक कंप्यूटर दूसरे से जुड़ा है, दूसरा तीसरे से जुड़ा है, तीसरा चौथे से जुड़ा है, और ऐसे ही बहुत सारे कंप्यूटर आपस में जुड़े हुए हैं एक नेटवर्क के द्वारा जो इंटरनेट बनाते हैं।

जैसा कि आप जानते हैं कि इंटरनेट किसी एक कंप्यूटर से नहीं बना है, यह बहुत सारे कंप्यूटर से मिलकर बना हुआ है इसलिए किसी एक कम्प्यूटर के बन्द होने से इंटरनेट बंद नहीं हो सकता है। इंटरनेट बंद करने के लिए कोई ठोस वजह होनी चाहिए जैसे कि दंगे फसाद, लड़ाई, गैंग वॉर या फिर फेंक न्यूज रोकने के लिए। तब गवर्नमेंट उस जगह के इंटरनेट को बंद कर देती है ताकि कोई भी फेक न्यूज़ वायरल ना हो सके।

आज कल लोग क्या करते हैं किसी और देश की दंगे फसाद की पिक्चर को एडिट कर के फैला देते हैं, कि इस जगह पर दंगे हो रहे हैं यहां लोगों को मारा जा रहा है जिससे कि और भी ज्यादा दंगे फसाद और हालत खराब हो जाती है। इसको रोकने के लिए सरकार उस जगह का इंटरनेट बंद कर देती है। इंटरनेट बंद करने के लिए गवर्नमेंट उस एरिया के सर्विस प्रोवाइडर से कांटेक्ट करके नेटवर्क जाम करवा देती है जिससे उस जगह का इंटरनेट बंद हो जाता है।

लेकिन हम इसे पूरे पूरे देश का इंटरनेट बंद नहीं कर सकते हैं। क्योंकि बहुत सारी ऑर्गनाइजेशन या प्राइवेट कंपनी ऐसी है जो सेटेलाइट के द्वारा इंटरनेट इस्तेमाल करती हैं और वो उनके खुद के सैटेलाइट होती है, जिन पर गवर्नमेंट का ज्यादा कंट्रोल नहीं होता।

इंटरनेट को पूरी तरह से बंद करना बहुत ही मुश्किल है और अगर इंटरनेट को किसी तरह पूरे देश में बंद कर दिया जाए तो, इतना नुकसान होगा जितना किसी बड़े से बड़े साइबर अटैक से भी नहीं होता।

अब आप सोच रहे होंगे ऐसा क्यों?

तो मैं आपको बता दूं जितनी भी चीजें आज काम कर रही हैं वह सब इंटरनेट की वजह से ही चल रही है, चाहे वो हमारा बैंक हो, गवर्नमेंट सेक्टर, प्राइवेट सेक्टर, या मेडिकल सेक्टर, सब इंटरनेट से कनेक्ट है और अगर इंटरनेट बंद हो गया तो वह सब काम रुक जाएंगे, यहां तक कि जो लोग बिटकॉइन माइनिंग भी करते हैं उनके भी काम रुक जाएंगे, तो आप अंदाजा लगा सकते हैं इंटरनेट बंद होने से कितना बड़ा नुकसान होगा।

सन 2007 में एक साइबर अटैक हुआ था जो ICANN पर हुआ था, जो टोटल 13 है। उन 13 में से 2 सरवर को वायरस ने पूरी तरह अपने कंट्रोल में ले लिया था और उनको डिसेबल कर दिया था। लेकिन जो 11 बचें हुई सरवर थे उनको वायरस टच भी नहीं कर पाया था। जिसके कारण जल्दी रिकवरी हो गई थी।

अगर आप नहीं जानते हैं कि ICANN क्या होता है। तो मैं आपको बता दूं यह एक संस्था है जो इंटरनेट को चलाने के लिए रिस्पॉन्सिबल है। इनके पास इंटरनेट की चाबी होती है और अगर ये चाहे तो पुरे इंटरनेट को बंद कर सकते हैं। इंटरनेट में जो भी चीजें मौजूद है, जो सरवर से जुड़ी हुई होती हैं उसकी पूरी जानकारी इसी ऑर्गनाइजेशन के पास होती है और अगर किसी भी साइबर अटैक के कारण इंटरनेट बंद भी हो जाता है तो इनके पास पूरा बैकअप होता है जिससे यह इंटरनेट को दोबारा से चालू कर सकते हैं।

तो आप समझ ही गए होंगे कि पूरी दुनिया का इंटरनेट बंद करना बहुत ही मुश्किल है। किसी एक जगह का इंटरनेट बंद किया जा सकता है।
