SLC-HOMEREPAIRCLUB S23W1: Electrical Wiring and installations
I am @hisgeneral, and it feels so exciting and great to be sharing with us an electrical wiring and installation project.
As we well know, electrical wiring and installation are immanent parts of technology, they allow for powering and connection of systems, devices, as well as infrastructures. They ease electrical signal transmission, support innovation and communication, and are necessary for modern infrastructure development.
In residential building construction, electrical wiring and installation are extremely important components that provide homes with power and connectivity. Accredited electricians install outlets, wiring, panels, and switches, making sure of efficient and safe electrical systems that support lighting and modern amenities, satisfying local building standards.
It was the first phase of the electrical wiring and installation of a block of three classrooms which involved lighting points, socket outlets, and switches.
The materials used in this project included:
- 1.5 mm cables
- Angle and straight lamp holders
- 3×3 pattress board
- 13A single power outlet
- 3×2 wood board
- 1.5mm clip
- 10A 2 gang 2-way switch
- Circler junction boxes

My most used tools in the process of this installation and wiring were my hammer, plier, and tester screwdriver.

As can be seen, the wiring was a surface wiring in which the wires were clipped on the walls using the 1.5mm clips.
Installing and connecting the 2-gang 2-way control switch.
Installing and connecting the 13A single power outlet.
All three classrooms in the block were fitted with one lighting point and one power outlet. The image below shows the exterior of the classroom block after the wiring and installation.
The wiring and installation work was successfully completed, and the happy thing was that there weren't any complications or issues with the work. As soon as the block was energized, the entire system was efficient, and no error was recorded.
Thank you
