Skeptic or not
I'm comfortable with the idea the government is watching us. Observing our movements, and developing pattern based algorithms to predict our behaviours.
This can mean we are safe, and the countries security is sound.
Goodness knows, we need it with our prime minister shipping in and harbouring known terrorists here in our fine country.
But something feels ridiculous. Normally I get the same old commercial on my YouTube screenings. Annoying as shit, but it's pretty regular.
Just the other day, I was thinking about an app I used to do alot of shopping on. With an old phone. And then boom. It shows up in my YouTube commercial.
And then there was another one I was only thinking about in the back of my mind one morning. Never mentioned it to anyone at all. And it comes up, in the same way.
What the hell?
This passive mind reading technology that has been put in action is no joke. People may think it's coincidence. Or dumb luck. But, the day after I thought about that app? Come on.
I used to be part kf a test group for a delta wave brain generator. A sleep test group. Where they'd monitor your brainwaves through your cellphone, and administer the binaural beats to pair along with the optimal moments during your sleeping pattern after establishing those key areas in your brains activity.
So, that app buzzed my brain to the point that I couldn't take it. I'd wake up in the morning feeling like my mind was buzzing. Electrical impulses coursing through my brain.
Binaural beats are both a wonderful tool, and a powerful weapon.
The future is now!
Information can be used in different ways, tracking information for the purpose of specific marketing to an individual can be useful.
The same information can also be used to harm an individual.
Complete privacy can on the other hand leave us isolated.
Generally if you are not a criminal you have nothing to fear - mostly, there are also bullies that will find something to pin on you whether you have wronged them or not - projecting their own pain.
It's one of those things where a little bit used in the right way can be helpful but used in the wrong ways can be harmfaul
So true, I've committed to the project on those grounds. I don't mind. But when things like these sprout up, I've got to wonder.
