That black round tape in your floppy reminds me of like VHS video tapes and audio tapes and things like that. It seems to be recorded in a similar fashion, like onto some kind of tape, but the floppy has less tape and DVDs uses a different material. I mostly have a floppy drive in order to try to copy and paste, to try to find and save anything I may find from old floppy disks onto hard drives, thumb drives.
