22nd March 2018 | Kota Kinabalu 100 degrees Bootcamp

Hello steemians

On 22nd March 2018, we had our 100 degrees Bootcamp at Appsmillion Kota Kinabalu as announce in my earlier post here

The last bootcamp was presented by none other our big brother @bitrocker2020.

Myself and @papanog was tasked to arrange this bootcamp and prepare all the neccesities and venues for this event. Oh and yes, the presentation was suppose to be done by @papanog, however he was down with “Acute Gastroenteritis” last minute and couldn’t join us. Get well soon @papanog. 🙏🏼

Without much preparation on being a presenter, I started the presentation anyway, which halfway through, I had to pass the mic to our steem ambassador @danieldoughty to complete the entire presentation. I honestly felt it was better for him to do the rest of the presentation because he has more knowledge about steemit than I do. And yes it was a good presentation by him. With his humurous ways of presenting, my hats of to him. A round of applause 👏🏼. Way the go @danieldoughty 💪🏼. I promised next bootcamp I will be more prepared. Doing presentation is no easy task. You need to be mentally ready 😬

What did we learn in today’s bootcamp?

  • Introduction to steemit?
  • How to monetize from the platform?
  • How the steemit ecosystem work?
  • What is a blockchain?
  • Do I have to pay to be in steemit?
  • Why Steemit?
  • How through community we can do better in steemit?

We also have many question answered through a web questionaire that was asked by the crowd and yes we managed to answer all 37 question.

Some of the interesting question was how to use @dlive, what is blockchain, and what is phising?
You can check the questionaires that was thrown by the participants here at http://www.slido.com and enter code #bootcamp.

The partipants that participated was about 26 participants with some existing steemit members and some newbies who is still waiting for their password. I know that especially the newbies can’t wait to do their the first post after attending this event.

Those who registered their attendance are as below:

All of us was too excited, until some of the participants did not manage to register their names 😅.

This is a positive outcome knowing how steemit has not even touch the surface of this platform. Excitingly as well, we will also be doing our next #masterclass session to guide the new steemians to actually do a hands-on posting and teaching those who wants to attend the next masterclass how to do a good post. @alvinauh has verbally agree to help run the masterclass so watch out for the annoucement soon!

As usual after the meetup we take our wefie!
