How do you define ‘happiness’? Philosophers, psychologists and even economists have long sought to define it. Is it love that makes you happy or is it wealth that shapes your smile from ear to ear? Achievements, marital status, social relationships and even our neighbours can influence the way we feel or to indicate our level of happiness. Happiness may vary for everyone and it is subjective. Happiness can simply be defined as a state of well – being that encloses living a good life, one with a sense of meaning and deep satisfaction. Many ways could make us joyful even a simple thing could make it.
“How can I get happy” is one of the most popular questions with more than six billion search results on Google. A few tips can be followed to ensure our life is full of happiness and basically, we can start by changing our habits. Practising gratitude can be the most important strategies to be happy. In our life, things do not always happen the way we want them to. Things may happen the other way around and as a result, we may feel sad and our wishes are not fulfilled. Gratitude is focusing on what we have instead of what we do not. Someone who is practising gratitude in everyday life is more likely to have less tension by moving on with what they have. They will have a positive mind and improves health.
Other than that, exercising can also be another way to spark joy in someone’s life. Exercising releases endorphins which help to trigger a state of euphoria. Spending fifteen minutes to have a walk or jog help to reduce depression and it improves someone’s health physically and mentally. These benefits can be shared by inviting our neighbours or friends as a company. Sharing enjoyable moments bring positivity vibes and most importantly it brings happiness.
Being happy is our choice and it depends on us. Happiness is vital to maintain our mental health in a good condition and enabling us to enjoy our life as much as possible. Enjoying a simple pleasure of life such as drinking a cup of tea or either on a trip of luxury vacation does bring joyousness. It all depends on you.
