Chinese New Year spirit with MyJuniors
Spirit of Chinese New Year with MyJuniors!
Chinese New Year is around the corner and we can already feel the festivity. There is massive traffic as early as 9.30am this morning. It must be all going for shopping!
Today my son and I joined the #MyJuniors Steemit gathering and both of us had fun! The event was so well organised @elizacheng. Guru is 11 and he was the oldest kid there but he actually had lots of fun. It was so cute to see all the littlies talking, introducing themselves, some are so soft and some are so confident. Being an observer, I watched so many beautiful things going on. I saw different personalities coming together and working together as a team to achieve their goals.
The children arrived and registered. While waiting for the registration process, the organisers cleverly prepared some tattoo sticker so the children can start getting busy! Once all were there, they were called to sit in a circle and introduced themselves. I love where the adults joined in and said ‘hello with their name’ to the them too. That made some of the children turn around to find where the voices came from and showed the group participation! The children were then introduced to the ‘young adult’/ ’Sifu’ that were going to help them and they were divided into groups. The ‘young adult’ brought them aside and had a few minutes of ice breaking session within their little group before embarked on making the lantern out of ‘Ang Pow’ packets. The littlies was guided step by step on how to make the lantern. These ‘Sifu’ masters were absolutely amazing with these children. I saw lots of smiles and helpful hands helping these littlies to successfully make their lanterns!
A group photo with these littlies was taken where they held up their beautiful lanterns! Proud moments there for the parents and organisers! The children were given out some goodie bags and we had a cake cutting moment for a beautiful couple’s anniversary too.
My personal highlight was being able to meet many other mothers who are like me! Getting to know them in a personal level was so meaningful! I had a good chat with @coloringiship and @bluesea1407. I feel so connected and happy today. What a fruitful day it was!
Thank you for your support and take your time off to join us with your little one! Glad that both of you enjoyed yourself! tip!
With love ❤️💖💕💗

Guru had fun!
I am truly glad that Guru had fun during the lantern making. He was kind of shy at first but as he sees his lantern taking shape he was very excited.
Thank you for making time to participate the lantern making and #myjunior launch. It was good meeting up with you, and will look forward to see your handmade accessories soon!
