Orangila's Photos of TeamMalaysia Gathering - Coffee with @yasminep & Dinner with friends - 7th Apr 2018
Since I participated my very first TeamMalaysia event on January, I noticed the growth of the community. As a result, we have more meet ups, events and social gatherings and I always try my very best to attend them all. Especially fun to meet someone new or when I can get to network for business opportunities.
Our main purpose for this meet up was because @yasminep announced that she would be returning to England on May. So this event served as a send off/farewell party. However, I believe we will most definitely be having a proper farewell party as we always look for a good excuse to meet up. It was great catching up with Yasmin as I didn’t have the opportunity to talk to her during the Chinese New Year party. But I understand her decision to be home to be with her ailing father. I can personally relate to her love of living in Kuala Lumpur as I have spent considerable part of my life back home in Canada. If memory serves me right, Yasmine grew up in a suburb in England by the name of Kent. And it is fair for me to assume how the life in Kent is like based the cities in Alberta I’ve lived in. Instead, she will be moving to London (where her father resides) and start her new business adventure, for that, I am excited for her and hope we will cross path in the future.
Anyway, I woke up early morning for work in University of Malaya and had my favourite pork noodle with one of my friend for lunch. I was honestly tired by the time I finished lunch but decided to commit myself to meet my friends. I arrived at Common Man Coffee Roasters in Taman Tun Dr. Ismail at 3pm sharp. @karinzdailygrind was the very first to be at the venue. I did not see her and asked the waitress to offer us a table that fits at least 7. Moments later, @deborism showed up. She has been busy with work and I finally have an opportunity to catch up with her. She bought along a friend (also by the name of Yamsin). Yasmin ( @icehockeyandher) is an interesting lady who is very new to Steemit. We clicked immediately when she told me her Steem ID. As a Malaysian, I am sure she gets asked a lot about ice hockey and why she blogs about it. As a Canadian, I was surprised to meet a local Malaysia who is into ice hockey. Yasmin is a content creator and was classmates with @deborism in Kajang. Since living in Kajang since 2009, I believe Debbie was the 3rd person I came across who lives in Kajang, so that would make Yasmin the 4th.
Others who showed up were @littlenewthings, @zord189, @joannewong, @aaronleang. @buzz.lightyear is a new Steemians and learned about the event from our Discord channel. I know he was fully enlightened after the event because we all took some time to share the benefits and features of Steemit to both him and @icehockeyandher. @khimgoh showed up in the nick of time for our wefie and to greet @yasminep before Yasmin left for her next appointment. 3 hours at the café wasn’t never enough for us. We proceeded to Super Saigon Pho Café for dinner where we spent another 3 hours in the restaurant until we were literally told to leave the café. I spent most of the evening chatting with @joannewong and @khimgoh. It was a memorable evening as me and @khimgoh exchanged some news and happenings among our mutual friends.

Hahahahaha! In time for the dinner just not the coffee! We had a 1st Birthday party to go to! More for the kiddos! But I always try to make as many events as I can!
You and I are the same... we try to attend as many events as we can as we try to make sure that almost 100% of our wallet is in Steem Power
Yes! Like Mav said, "I want Steem Power, I need Steem Power" ahahahaha
Yes yes and yes.... I am very aggressive with my SP and can't wait to hit the $0.01 barrier.. hehe

Hahaha.. That was exactly what I said to @khimgoh... for the CNY group photo at your house, I still remember me standing on the chair to take group photos.. suddenly, everyone was looking at the door and @khimgoh came running to join in for the group shots.. hehehe

The last shot was definitely a clear winner. A unique shot from a different angle. When we view life from a different vantage point, we might just be surprised by the outcome
Yeah... mirror shot are the best~!!! And we all look so happy with our food
That mirrored ceiling shot is amazing - in that one frame too.
Yes, I specialise in looking for interesting (not so common angles) to take photos..
