This is the newly harvested kombucha tea.. i started about a month ago.. it was introduced by my sister.. she has been brewing the tea for a few months now.. when i tasted the tea for the first time, i loved it right away.. because i always love the taste of pickle.. this kombucha tea somehow tasted like that.. effervescent and tangy..

It’s a health drink.. you can look up and google it’s benefit..

Fermenting sounds complicated.. to prepare and to harvest.. but really, it’s simple and easy.. provided you make sure hygienic factor as top priority..

The only thing you need is, a few bags of tea (it can be any kind of tea.. i used green tea), about 15 teaspoons of sugar, water and the kombucha mushroom and a bit of the harvested tea (i took from my sister so i got some of the harvest tea with the mushroom).. water should be unfluoridated and unchlorined.. to stir, you must use wooden or plastic spoon.. and the ingredients must be put inside a glass jar..

I used hot water, mix with the tea and sugar.. stir until all the sugar dissolves.. wait until the water is at room temperature then you can put the mushroon inside the jar together with some of the harvested tea (about 1/5 of the jar).. you can also add cold water to speed up the process but make sure the water is at room temperature or slightly warm..

After.. just close the jar lid with a clean cloth.. and tighten the cloth with a rubber band..
