Me and my mum have the same cup for our coffee session at home. Simple yet wonderful!

If you know me well enough, then you will know that I love coffee very much. Remember when I was working as a corporate auditor, 5 to 6 cups of coffee per day was just a norm in my working life. Long working hours, chilling office environment, stand alone work space will make me sleepy and tired. So my solution will automatically turn to our beloved office coffee machine. Having a cup of hot coffee definitely will help me to focus more on my work.

But why I love coffee so much at the first place? Is it because of the taste? the aroma? Nope! All because of this wonderful woman in my life. She is the one who first introduce coffee to me, which is my lovely mother. :)

All begins with my secondary school time which is about 13 years back then. That time I was a district badminton player from Johor and my daily routine basically pack up with my school and my training. I can tell you that the time I spend in the badminton club is almost equal to the time I spend at home! I train from Monday to Saturday night every week. Sunday morning will be outdoor training as well and night time I will assist our coach to train the juniors. That's how hectic my schedule was back then. Just because I involve in this sport so much, I seldom have the opportunity to spend time with my family. Most of the time due to my training and competition, I miss family outing. Even having dinner, I will be eating in the club with friends more than my family.

When the mother meet the son.

Thank God that He always take good care of us. Everyday after school I will have 2 to 3 hours break before I heading over for my training session. That will be the time for me to shower, eat and get ready. We can't take heavy meal before our training because the food intake will affect our performance. So my mum will always prepare some snacks with coffee for me to eat. I still remember every time when we are having our tea time, she will share a lots of things with me. Like what she saw on the tv; what recipe she plan to cook for dinner tonight and some family matters, etc.

I love the moment that I spend with my mum. We have a very unique relationship, not just mother & son but also best friends too. We basically talk about everything. During our tea time, I will ask her questions and share with her all the struggles that I faced, and she will listen to me patiently and even make jokes out of me. She always jinx about my competition, but when I came back with medals, she will be the happiest one. I love my mum and I enjoy that moment only me and my mum talking heart to heart with each other. That time I still don't understand what is that called, but now I know. It call as "Quality Time".

The most hilarious woman I know in my entire life.

Is the quality time that I spend with her makes me fall in love with coffee. Whenever I am taking coffee in KL, that always remind me the quality time that we had together. Till now we still maintain this practice at home. Once I got the chance to fly back home, coffee drinking session will be a must for both of us. I think this is how me and my mum works.

We drink, we talk, and we love.

Love you, mum!

So much love in a cuppa! 💓 me and my mum love coffee too, but because we're so far apart we hardly get to have such opportunities. Think about only being able to spend time once or twice a year! Thanks for sharing such intimate moments with us, great post!

:) Thanks for the comment! Petty mama XD

Such a great bonding between you and mummy. I foresee next time will be my turn with Jayden. Coz he is such a mummy-boy. Thank you for sharing.

hahaha. Definitely! :)
