RE: South Australian Duck Hunting - Opening weekend

in #teamaustralia7 years ago (edited)

Looks like you had a grat trip! I was very close to going duck hunting in January but had already missed too much work in December so I didn't dare ask for another day off. My hunting partner did pretty good that day and now I really wish I had gone. I will plan on going next time the opportunity arises.

I totally understand your point about keeping hunting areas private. An area I used to love to hunt deer is no longer any good. I told lots of people where I hunted. One day I realized that I probably contributed to the downfall of the area simply by telling people where I hunted even though my audience weren't really hunters themselves usually. Yet word spreads. I am hoping one day that area will recover and I can once again successfully hunt the area where I have so many fond memories hunting as a youth.

Thanks for sharing your story and using the #myhuntingfishing tag.

P.S. Who arrowed the pig? Another story coming soon?

That’s a shame about your deer hunting property. Unfortunately it wasn’t me that nailed the pig it was my friend, they got it a few hours before I arrived! Damn work not letting me get away earlier!

PS. The myfishinghunting tag is a great idea!

Thanks! It seems to be doing quite well!
