The disappearance of Charlie Huntingtower

in #teamaustralia5 years ago

19 year old Charlie Huntingtower was last seen near the Edinburgh streets during his trip to England, along with his friends Barley, Jonathan, Matthew and Kate as well as his older-brother Erike. However, on their last day at Edinburgh Charlie decided to go shopping for food on his own. His friends and brother did not go with him, for they thought that he was fine to go on his own. However, since then he never returned and they reported him missing, including the fact that they rang his phone several times and there was never an answer, they texted him and he never replied.

The police has been searching for three days now and it is now believed that the zombie, whose name was recognized as Agatha has taken Charlie. The boys are now staying in Edinburgh longer, mainly because Erike was resilient in finding his brother. There was no trace on where or when he could have gone, for zombies have the ability to travel in time. The last evidence they could find is a pocket bible laying on the alley between two bakery stores, Erike recognized that it was Charlie’s for it had his nickname on it. The little brown bible that he used to take to Sunday service.

Kate (concerned): can’t sleep??

Erike: he must be out there somewhere!!!! I mean…...how could someone possibly disappear like that?? Especially my own brother.

Kate: you know….you’ve done great the last few days. I mean…...we were all wanting to go home, yet you persisted in staying. You really do care a lot about your brother, don’t you?

Erike: this is my fault that he went missing in the first place. If we knew that the zombie was able to travel across countries……...then we would never have let anyone go by themselves at night. I was the one who told him that he was being a coward and that he wasn’t able to get anything right.

Kate (sympathetically): he……….he really listens to you doesn’t he?

Jonathan: we only have two more days before we would be sentenced back to Minisoda even if you don’t want that, bro.

Erike: I have to stay behind. I am sorry………..I cannot allow this to happen to my brother. You guys go without me.

Matthew: Are you sure you want to do this?? I mean……...the police can find him………………….

Erike looks at Matthew like he just got slapped in the face. He knew he should not place this on him, however his rage was boiling and he was not able to stop it from exploding.

Erike: POLICE???!!!! Are you joking??!! My brother is missing………….my only brother is missing!!!! AND ALL YOU CARE ABOUT IS YOUR STUPID SHOW???!!

Two days later…………
Charlie Huntingtower was recently found laying on the ground from exactly the place he disappeared from. There were no scars or any signs of abuse, so the police were reinforced to believe that he was not abused of any kind. However, he seems to have lost tremendous memories, the police could not tell but his friends and brother could. The memories of them growing up together and his memories hanging out with his friends. The memories of him with Erike and his family going to church on a Sunday morning and the family holidays. He seems to forget 70% of it.

Detective: so…Mr. Huntingtower, we’ve been searching for you everywhere. Starting to think the incident in America was more than an incident.

Charlie (bemused): what??

Policeman: What is the last thing you remember, Charlie Huntingtower??

Charlie: I cannot remember. All I remember is going to the alley, because it was closer to our hotel and then everything went blank.

Detective: Did someone knock you behind your head or something. Surely you felt a piece of pain when you were hit.

Charlie (confused): nope!

Mostly, as they all returned to Minnesota, Erike found it uneasy for him to live in the same house as him. Mainly because once the boys entered the house, Charlie seems to have forgotten where he was and why he was there. Erike tried to explain to him that they’ve been living here for a year now and that this was their house, however he did not listen. There was something very off about the way he spoke and the way he grinned when his friends left the airport that made Erike feel uneasy. He thanked God that his brother was found alive and no permanent scars, however he is not the same person as he used to be.

Charlie (confused): what is this place??

Erike: uh…..this is a house……….our house.

Charlie: we’ve a house??!!

Erike: yeah……...we’ve…………..we’ve been living here for a year and a half now, this is Minnesota, we’re home!!!

Charlie (bemused): what’s minnesota??

Erike (distressed): the city where you grew up in!!! Where we grew up in, our family is here and our homes.

Charlie: this is so hard!!

Erike (apprehended): what is??

Charlie: the whole concept of a house and how I grew up in a place I somehow cannot remember. Anyways, I’ve got to sleep. It's been a hard day on the plane. Can you show me where I sleep??

Erike felt the intense pain stab into his spin. Did Charlie really forget where he sleeps?? The place he spends on the screen all day during the summer. If so, perhaps he should take his brother to mental hospital for losing so much memories. He still got a fascination about how his brother went missing in the first place, back in Edinburgh. Yet he knew it was not the right time to be asking Charlie this question so he showed him to his room.

Erike (anxiously): this is where you're sleeping. Good night, I will see you in the morning.

Charlie (smiley: it’s a very nice room.

Erike: all yours!

After leaving Charlie to his room, Erike can’t help but let out some tears. He knew he should be telling their parents about this, the fact that their son is losing so much memories, yet he did not want to distress them too. Most of all, he was overwhelmed with wonders of how he could get Charlie’s memories back. As he laid on his own bed, he could not sleep and found it hard to get his brother out of his mind. He is safe now, back in their house. Yet he could not stop thinking about the fact that he might never be the same again.

Erike: I must somehow find a way of connecting with him. He might have truly lost his memories, which is a shame for we did great things together. But that is not the point right now, I need to get him back to conscience. He is surely going to get better some time or another. I need to pray right now, only God can tell me what happened to him between the five days he was gone. Perhaps Agatha sucked out all the memories from him, in order for him to forget who we were and so that she could use him as a spy against us. But……..don’t zombies only drink blood, this makes no sense. Whoever she may be, she sure as some distinctives.

Not before long, Erike fell asleep through his deep thoughts. At 3:20am in the morning, he was awoken by a loud shout, it sounded like a woman and then whispered. It sounded like Charlie’s whispers, his voice and it came from the basement. The boys lived in a house where there was a massive room basement at the bottom. They often store their sports gears that they used to play in there. Erike got up, he walked out of his room with a crucifix in his hands and went to the basement.

It was pitch dark, so he could hardly see anything. He felt spooked due to the lack of light there was, if anything was to happen to him he could not see. So he found a torch and he shone it. To his surprise, Charlie was standing there in an empty room with his pyjamas on. There was a quick flash as fast as he saw it, Erike was sure it was something paranormal.

Erike: Charlie, may I ask what you’ve been doing at this time of the night in a basement.

Charlie (muttering): I……….I needed to get a drink.

Erike: the drink tapes are not here, you know that! I heard a loud shout coming from down here and I knew something must be going on.

Charlie: Come on, let's go back upstairs and get some sleep.
