I am passionate about new things, and I believe that with the continuous development of learning challenges, the platform will provide more value to its users. My appreciation also goes to the Steemit Team who are completely against the production of AI-generated texts that will undermine the credibility of the platform. To minimize the use of AI, a challenge that forces students to bring out their creative thinking and skills would be a positive first step. I am also keen to sign up to be one of the Teaching Team who will be delivering possibly mind-numbing, technical material.

Why do I deserve to be a teacher?

As a person who has a Bachelor of Civil Engineering educational background, since graduating from college in 2012 I began working in several private companies for six years, and since 2019 I was appointed as a Civil Servant at the Public Works and Public Housing Office of Langsa City, where I am currently trusted as a Technical Implementation Officer.

The experience after experience that I gained during my profession as an engineer certainly grew my level of knowledge and analytical power, so I became very confident to provide calculation lessons on how to estimate the cost of civil construction development (such as houses, roads and channels).

What materials will I teach?

The phased materials I teach will be interrelated to each other, thus creating continuous learning for students, with the ultimate goal of knowing how much it costs to do a construction project. The sequence of learning materials I provide is as follows:

📌Week 1: Understanding Construction Drawings and Creating Work Details

• Before calculating construction costs, we must first know how to view the overall calculation items contained in the engineering drawings and create the details in sequence.

📌Week 2: Calculating the Quantity of Work

• A construction consists of many pieces of work such as foundations, floors or walls, which must be calculated in terms of length, area and volume. Everything must be calculated carefully.

📌Week 3: Calculating Unit Price Analysis

• Each piece of work will have many components that need to be included to form the unit price. Once the analyzed coefficients such as the number of workers and the amount of materials have been determined, the next step is to compile a list of prices and wages for the final price analysis.

📌Week 4: Calculating Total Construction Cost

• After the Work Quantity and Unit Price values are obtained, we then compile a breakdown list containing all the work sections, then multiply the Work Quantity by the Unit Price per work item, then we obtain the total construction cost value after summing up all the costs per section.

My journey on Steemit began in April 2024, since then I have continued to learn from reading many good posts from many users, so I also joined many communities to enrich my insight and continue to develop my writing techniques.

How to check 🔍?

I have already mentioned the use of AI and plagiarism, which shows my concern and commitment not to tolerate any form of cheating that may occur. So, I will check all the writings from the students with the tool GPTZero for AI result text checking. As for checking content plagiarism, I use smallseotools and duplichecker

How to choose the winner 🏆?

In accordance with the material I will provide, I will look at the entries from students in terms of the accuracy of calculations, step-by-step presentation, comprehensive explanation and last but not least creativity (including attractive pictures and well-organized writing).

The winner will be chosen after conducting a detailed assessment of each learning element, compiling a recap of each student's scores, and then ranking to select the top 4 assignment posts from the participating students.
