RE: Internet Service Interruption - TaskManager Related Services Statuses (@upfundme, @t50, @tm50 and UpFundMe Premium)
I just got mine back, but in those days I used up all my mobile data just checking in on things. I'd hate to have to run on 100% mobile. I forgot to close out all my wallets before connecting my computer to the hotspot, syncing 12 chains caused the mobile data graph to skyrocket. Thankfully I caught it and closed them all out before too long.
The modem the company went with is poorly designed, and has very little ventilation. This causes them to overheat and crap out every couple of years. I'm actually in the middle of a move too and set up internet in the new place yesterday. I can't wait to fully move in because I'll have 10x the bandwidth and a better internet company.
I've got unlimited so I don't have to care about how much I use, but the signal inside sucks so its very slow(I can't use bithsares at all). Stupid internet companies have shit that break all the time and then make us pay to get a person come to where we live to fix it. Someone should be coming later today so I hope to be getting back online with fast internet by the end of today. I've been trying to work on my app, but because of how slow it is, I can't access some parts(images will be hell to load).
We don't get unlimited plans at all up here in Canada. But when I had signal issues I would keep the phone in a window with good signal and hotspot from there. If I needed more wifi range I'd usb tether instead and share the connection and send it to my router. My last place had major signal issues and I had to do that all the time for internet until the area got long range wifi coverage.
I find that stupid that Canadian phone companies don't offer unlimited plans. I've talked to others about it and know people who would love unlimited plans. I calculated my usage with a Canadian phone company, and it would have been an insane amount.
I really hope I can get it fixed today, its annoying to have to use data to do everything, especially cuz of the amount of battery it drains, my phone pretty much stays plugged in all day. The guy has about 3 hours to shop up (they gave a 4 hour time period for the technician to show up) and I hope he comes soon so I can get this fixed.
Finally got the wifi fixed. They needed to swap out the modem+router.
