RE: #tarottuesday, May 1st 2018...
Hello from the Steemit Tarot community!
@steemittarot began as a way to curate all the Tarot Tuesday posts that starting popping up on the site. Now the hope is to connect all readers, people interested in learning about the cards, and other assorted people bearing good juju. To this end, your post has been resteemed and/or upvoted. To find out more, check out the intro post here.
Thanks for that!
Good to start implementing some guidelines to stop it being swamped with bait and switch as you put it. Those sorts of posts would ruin tarot tuesday if they became too many...
On the copyright issue, I'm just wondering what the score is with the cards themselves. The images on the cards are likely under some form of copyright, and a photo of a spread would be a photo of copyright work surely... Just wondering how that works out?
Oooh, good point! Somewhere in my myriad of bookmarks, is an article that discusses taking photos of Tarot cards (either for readings, or deck reviews). I'll have to find it again and keep it handy, but from what I recall, as long as the photograph doesn't represent more than 20% (but don't quote me on that number - LOL) of the deck as a whole, taking personal photos and posting them is considered okay.
