The Sailboat
The sailboat was invented in the 1890s and made famous by the movie "The Maltese Falcon", about a boy who sails all the way to America hoping to earn a fortune on the open seas. In the 80s the invention was copied by the yacht maker K&N's in the UK. Today all sailboats have long and thin hull to reduce drag and the ability to take advantage of wind speeds around 11 knots. Sailboats are great to travel in because they are quiet boats but also because they can be so attractive when they come up against other vessels. They allow people to get the most out of the sea while also being able to visit local fishing haunts and sights.
Sailboats can help to reduce traffic on narrow roads. Since they have a longer length, they help to reduce the number of cars with towing.
A sailboat can have lots of bells if it can be steered in the opposite direction from the wind.
There are also some boats with a full range of propulsion options, from propeller-driven to jet fuel-powered.
One of the many different types of sailboats are the electric sailboat. In some states electric steeds can be used to run the boat in a local business with the additional benefit of getting to the shop at the same time. It's a great way to get the shop owner interested.
