Novel Thoughts (AkA Yes, I'm Still on the Platform)
It's been weeks (let's face it, months) since I published a post on the Steemit platform. Like a ghost invisibly stalking the seemingly infinite halls of words and posts I've let my presence be known only through the occasional upvote and a comment here and there.
But, though it's often just for a few moments, I still check the platform each and every day.
A LOT has changed recently, and even more changes lie on the horizon. The resource credit bandwidth system has been implemented, and we've gotten a hard date on the release of SMT's. But for me the real drama was right around when DLive left the Steem blockchain, totally betraying the community as a whole. At the time when they'd left I was pretty hard into making videos over writing posts, so it just sort of took the wind out of my sails. The "haha I told you so response from @hemindanger" made DLive users feel pretty unwelcome on DTube, and attempts to broach that subject with him didn't end great.
So I sort of lost my place within the platform.
But now I'm back, screaming (or talking plainly - whichever you prefer to imagine) into the infinite, cold abyss that is the blockchain and the internet. Despite my thousands of followers I'll probably be lucky if ten eyes see this. And yet, I had to do something. Couldn't take watching from afar anymore.
Hi @jenkinrocket, I'm @checky ! While checking the mentions made in this post I noticed that @hemindanger doesn't exist on Steem. Did you mean to write @heimindanger ?
