Picking Tags for your Steemit and blog posts
I have never blogged before and recently joined Steemit. I created my first posts but had no idea what to list for my 5 tags. Here are a couple ways I found so far. Please reply with any good suggestions you have about learning about using tags.
Similar Posts-- One of the easiest ways I discovered is to look at other people's posts about similar topics and you can see their five tags on the top of the page. (love this, not much effort needed)
Click on the Tag list on the right on your Steemit feed to see popular tag categories in a drop down list.
Google Trends
I am interested in learning about tags and using the right ones and I have found https://trends.google.com to be very useful.
At Google trends, you can enter a search word and Google provides you with a variety of useful information related to the use of that search word. If you’re not sure of your search word, click on the drop down menu on the left and click on Explore, Trending Search and Top Charts to get ideas.
Once you enter a search word, Google then brings up a page that gives you a number of ways to evaluate the efficiency of your search term. For example, it gives you statistics on how often the term has been used and in what region. It also suggests related terms and even lets you compare the term with other relevant posts. There is lots more information available if you poke around on the site.
