Synthwave

It's Synthwave, and it's awesome. It's magenta, teal and chrome; it's digital sunsets and vectored reality. It's the music of the 80's, alive today. It's the sweet amalgamation of raw synthesized tones and the emotion of speeding down the highway at night because that's the only thing that makes any damned sense.

The thing is, they had it right in the 80's, and it's coming back. So be prepared, you'll see more of it. Try some:

Thanks for sharing. Thumbs up.

Synthwave is interesting, but where's the story in this? Where did Synthwave come from? More specifically, who did it first, and what's their story? What are the influences of synthwave, and where does it appear in pop-culture (you could have easily written a few paragraphs about Kung Fury and David Hasselhoff, for example). Draw me into it! (Don't answer here, these are things you could use in an article.)

Oh absolutely there's a lot there. Others have written it out better that I have though. I'm new to the scene, it's got a lot of juice already.
