Clash Royale - New Epic Quest, Touchdown Mode and Shop

Today we will be discussing the new patch update that took place October 09, 2017!

Touchdown Mode

Supercell over the days has been teasing us but finally released their new game mode. This is a whole new approach to the way we traditionally play Clash Royale: No towers, no bridges or rivers... just end zone to end zone in a epic battle that ends with a best out of 5 rounds. You get to team with a buddy for an epic 2 on 2 matchup. With football season in play what better way to follow up then incorporating it in a game we all know and love.

There are also 2 additional game modes that involve coins, gems, and deck replication but since they're pretty self explanatory I won't get too those.

If you guys are looking for cards I believe trump Touchdown Mode:

- Hog Rider

• Quick Speed
• Destroy Buildings

---

- Freeze Spell

• Freeze Units and Buildings in Place
• Allows you to score a touchdown before being able to counter

---

- Battle Ram

• Must Break Ram Shield First
• Quick Speed
• Can Attack Ground Units Once Ram Is Down
• Heavy Damage on Buildings When Hit With Ram

---

- Golem

• Tank
• Explodes (Kills Most Weaker Units)
• Great Combo Card (Witch, Poison, Dart Goblin)

---

- Spawn Buildings

• Spawns Constant Units
• Units Can Attack Either Group or Air (Sometimes Both)
• Forces Opponent To Constantly Defend A Side
• Works Great As Distraction For Tanks And Air Units
• Can Redirect Units

New Epic Quest

You will now get a list of task that once completed in game unlock rewards
Some quest have been revealed such as:

Quest	Task
Hit a Tower: Hog Rider	Hit a Tower 10 times with Hog Rider
Rocket Blast: Rockets	Hit a Tower 5 times with a Rocket
Open those Chests	Open 10 chests
Card Collector	Collect 500 cards
2v2 Touchdown Quest	Collect 40 crowns from 2v2 Touchdown Event

The rewards vary depending on the quest - Cards, Coins and Gems
You now also get a free daily gift as well!

New Shop Design

Cards are now bundled together to offer more affordable deals. The sizes vary mostly in increments of 5: 1x, 5x, 10x, 15x, 40x
Some can be bought with coins like usual where others must be bought with gems (seems like gems only apply to epics so far)
They also now give a free Epic Card in the shop every Sunday

(All Cards Cycle Through The Shop After 3 Months)
