Why I am glad I did not look at the Super Bowl LII LIVE this year

Because I am many hours ahead of the USA and living in the most isolated city on any continent, anywhere on Earth, Perth Western Australia, I have, in the past ( to watch the Super Bowl ) had to get up at 5am to watch it live on TV.

However, this year I debated with myself, SHOULD I get up that early again to watch the game ? I even had the EASY choice of LIVE STREAMING it on my ipad and watch it with ( maybe with one eye open ) in bed ... snug under the covers!!

BUT, something told me to catch it on reply at 11am later in the day and not to get up so early! So I did not.

When I watched the reply at 11am - boy am I glad I did. NOT that I minded the Patriots winning again, I was not biased for any team to win But for a World Wide Audience ... being being televised all over the World, where this would be the ONLY NFL match that they would watch all year, putting it simply, the game was not up to the amazing final standards I have witnessed in the past. There was no last min ' hail Mary'. ... it just seemed to drag on and on and full of nothingness.

Both teams were as bad as each other. Imagine telling anyone before the game, " you know what there will be NO touch downs scored until half way through the last quarter". Simply no one would believe it!

So yes, I am Glad I did not loose any sleep getting up too early for the game!!

One last thought, I am sure New Orleans would be thinking, yes, that was our game to play -- I would if it would have been a spectacle it so deserved !!

Only time will tell... lets hope next year will be better!
