Unless you know what really bad is you don't know what good is. Laying in the mud getting shot at is really bad so anything better is good. I would not want to experience combat again, but it does help one put things into a realistic perspective. When people get their knickers in a twist over trivial drivel they need either a common threat or a common goal to unite them. People are so focused on themselves it will probably take an asteroid on a collision course with earth to get them to look up from their devices.
