How to be successful as a self-employee

Self-employees experience their professional life often as a balancing act between creative self-determination and financial uncertainty. If you want to be successful you need to have fixed reference points.

The job as a "Network Marketer" can be compared with the job of a trapezist. The euphory you feel when you start a new project, the discipline, concentration, and skill you need to perform your job.
Trapezists seem to exposure to risk, but it only seems like. They have different fail-safe systems like nets, special equipment and partners they can rely on and such systems are also needed by self-employed.

For many successful marketers, these fall-back systems are bonds or so-called "liberating connections". These can help you to endure the emotional rollercoaster ride, you have to take from time to time, and to draw energy and inspiration out of your independence.

There are four liberating connections, that can help you be more productive, successful, balanced and happier.

  1. Location
You should find a fixed place where you are protected from any distractions and where you feel rooted. I know, that you can work from almost everywhere, but your work will be better and easier when you have a fixed spot. For me, there is a huge difference if I sit in my room on my desktop PC or on the couch with my laptop and the TV turned on. The perfect location looks different for everyone, but the perfect room should always be free from distraction.

  2. Habits
In a normal job, you are forced to have different habits to make your boss happy. When you work as a freelancer, you can do what you want and don´t need to have any specific habits. But there are habits that can improve your workflow as they can improve your feelings for order and control. Without a structured daily routine, your productivity and motivation can decrease over time. As Gustave Flaubert said: "Live a decent and orderly life so that you can be passionate and creative at work"

  3. Sense
The most Internet Marketers "try desperately to find customers and generate an income". But to become really successful, you have to change your attitude to find a sense of your work and find out what your vocation is. This gives you the authenticity and security to build your business and to attract your customers.
This sense builds a bridge between your personal interests and motivation and the contribution to a better life.

  4. People
    Humans are social beings.
Studies proved that people are important for the career, as a role model (who shows us what we can become) and as colleagues (who helps us to advance). I have experienced that most of my friends and family members don´t share my interest in networking, nor really like or understand what I am doing. But I built a few great relationships with like-minded people around the world who helped me to evolve, improve my skills and helped me through bad phases.

Conclusion
Security and serenity belong to a successful career. Both are hard to gain for Network Marketers but through the mentioned liberating connections you can build a stable environment which helps you to improve your productivity. And brings you on the way to become really successful in whatever you are doing.

I love what I´m doing and I try to follow this rule, as best as I can as I know the positive effect it has on your daily life.
And as a self-employed you will gain mental freedom and inner strength that you can´t find in a regular job.!
