SUBSTRATUM - NET NEUTRALITY AND NET EQUALITY
Hi Steemians, I just want to share to you about Substratum. Substratum is an open-source network that allows anyone to allocate spare computing resources to make the internet a free and fair place for the entire world.
Today our generation is living with the influence of internet. Our work, our enrollment, our business are moving and improving because of the help of internet and we are putting so much money on it because it is the blood of our business system.
We are spending billions of dollar to run our business using advertisement and using internet also. Online advertisers are expected to outspend TV advertisers by $40 billion this year.
That means 40 percent of the world’s ad spending is expected to take place online in 2018, according to new forecasts from advertising measurement company Zenith. Online ad spending first beat out TV as the biggest ad medium last year.
Internet ad growth is being driven by social and video display ads, like those found on Facebook and YouTube. Globally, social media ad spending is estimated to rise 21 percent to $58 billion while video ad spending is rising 19 percent to $32 billion in 2018. At 42 percent of total spending, search ads like those on Google remain the biggest form of online advertising, expected to reach $95 billion this year. Online search and classified spending is expected to grow less than 10 percent.
No surprise, all of this growth is taking place on mobile, which grew 25 percent this year to 60 percent of internet ad spending and 24 percent of total ad spending. Meanwhile, desktop ad spending declined nearly 4 percent.
What if internet is free? What if we have a fair place for the entire world in terms of internet usage? If that is the case many people all around the globe can save billions of dollar if Substratum take the lead of our internet generation.

Our mission is to bring forth the free and fair internet of the future by combining proven technological building blocks with emergent technologies in an innovative and holistic way to help solve many of the problems that plague the modern internet.
Substratum will gain mass adoption by revolutionizing the hosting industry with per request billing via micro-transactions and incentivizing users to run nodes to create the network by paying node hosts in Substrate. This is all being managed by blockchain technology and machine learning.
What a wonderful goal isn't. To have a free and fair internet use all around the globe. I have this in mind and probably you ask yourself too.

The answer is no one actually owns the Internet, and no single person or organization controls the Internet in its entirety. The Internet is more of a concept than an actual tangible entity, and it relies on a physical infrastructure that connects networks to other networks.
If that is the case, anyone can revolutionize the internet to help and support all the people who need it. That is the purpose of SUBSTRATUM. We hope for the success of SUBSTRATUM to make the internet free and fair for all people.
