Try to earn some money online as an average teenager from a 3rd world country | newbie blog post
Hi! This is my first attempt trying to write something in this platform since joining in the early month of 2019. (so please go easy on me!)
As the title suggest, I'm going to share my struggles trying to earn money online as an average 18 year-old teenager from Indonesia.
I want to share this to all of you what an average teenager would experience trying to earn money online (especially if they come from a 3rd world country like me). And this is actually my 3rd day, trying to search for a way to pull through my unsuccessful attempts.
Since 2018, I've seen a lot of videos on platforms like youtube about making money with 0 experience, anywhere in the world. I would be lying if I said that I wasn't interested in all the prospects of earning an income before even getting a college degree or entering university (which could be considered a rare opportunity in my country).
But unfortunately, at that time, I'm still 16 ; which means I'm still underage to be working and my parents didn't approve of me using their account to receive payment (They'd rather if I focus more on my studies). So I waited for 2 years and finally, I thought, this is my moment.
So, I tried doing something with the information I gained. My first attempt was to join a transcription agency, and... I failed. They sent me an email a day after , saying that I'm apparently not the best transcriptioner that could bring the utmost quality in behalf of the agency (which most probably true). And as I try to think back at the test, I could see myself doing those silly mistakes that could probably tarnish the name of the agency. Well, it's no use to be mulling over things so I decided to move on and try other jobs/work I could try.
My second attempt is to join a partnership program on a website which pays you if any of your post get read by a subscriber(which you'd probably know even if I don't mention the name of). But, it turns out that I couldn't join the partnership program, because of the payment method they use haven't supported my country yet.
To be truthful, I know it's not going to be that easy. But my journey won't stop here. I hope for anyone who is in the same shoes as me, to know that the road isn't easy as they all told you in social medias, but you could just try and try again and probably your next attempt will be your moment. There's still a lot of opportunities and I hope to learn from all of you who have been succesful in earning some money online by reading interesting and informative posts here on this platform.
I'm really sorry for the grammatical or typos I've made in this post, or if you don't have the answers you've come here for (because it's mostly filled with insignificant ramblings).
Thank you so much for clicking and reading this post, I hope you have a nice day!
