May 11, 2020 Anniversary of the referendum on self-determination of the Luhansk People's Republic. About the events of 2014
Hello, Friends!
Today in our Republic LPR is a holiday (and two non-working days for those who still work).
The referendum on self-determination of the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) was held on May 11, 2014 in a part of the territory of the Lugansk region controlled by the self-proclaimed republic. “Yes” was noted by 96.2% of voters, “No” by 3.8%. The turnout was 75%. On May 12, 2014, the state sovereignty of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics was proclaimed. The Constitution of the DPR was adopted on May 14, and the LPR on May 18.
The Republic was proclaimed on April 27, 2014. Before it in March, the meeting of opponents of the Maidan "Donbass is Russia" took place:

Then followed a series of sad events, further distancing the inhabitants of Donbass from Ukraine.
At first, we 2.5 months (April 12 - July 5, 2014) experienced and sympathized with the residents of Slavyansk, who were besieged and subjected to shelling by the Ukrainian authorities. But no one thought that it would be the same with Lugansk. Also, events in the House of Trade Unions in Odessa on May 2, 2014 when opponents of the Maidan, even a pregnant young woman, were burned. This greatly outraged our people.
We were at work. June 2, 2014. The plane hummed for a long time in the sky and we tried to see it. An airstrike on the building of the Lugansk Regional State Administration (RSA) was delivered by the Ukrainian Air Force. As a result of the assault strike, inflicted about a day on the building of the Lugansk Regional State Administration located in the very center of the city, the parking lot in front of it and the square named after Heroes of the Great Patriotic War, where there is a playground and people always walk. 8 people were killed, another twenty-eight people were injured by shrapnel.
In July, shelling of Lugansk began, the electrical substation was damaged and we were left without electricity for almost 4 months (personally, my area from July 15 to October 29, 2014). It was very difficult to get food and water. And these constant bombardments from Ukraine ...
First victims in my area:
Bus station area in Lugansk:
On August 18, 2014, the Central Market in Lugansk was completely destroyed:
On July 2, 2014, Ukraine launched an Airstrike on Stanitsa-Lugansk. st. Ostrovsky. Many dead and wounded. More than fifteen destroyed houses.
On September 5, 2014, a truce was concluded. 30 minutes before the truce, this shell flew into our area. In total, there were 8.
Our days 2020! In Lugansk, it’s calm now, but the outskirts get it.
According to the bulletins "Donbass Today" https://t.me/donbass_segodnya
In April 2020 alone, Ukrainian troops violated the ceasefire regime 340 times, firing over two and a half thousand mines, grenades and shells in the republics of Donbass. Damaged 103 residential buildings, 14 infrastructure. Two civilians were killed, two were injured.
It remains to believe that everything will be fine with us, that they will not forget us. do not surrender ... Residents of Donbass believe in this.
Thanks for your attention.
Peace and health to you!
