Blame
”Was it because of our fate or wrong timing?”, There was confusion in his mind.
“No, neither fate nor wrong timing was responsible for what happened.”, She said.
“Then why are we in this situation? Who should we blame? If it wasn’t fate or wrong timing, then it must’ve been me.”,He sighed.
“No, that’s not what I was trying to say. Sometimes you simply need to accept the situation.”, She said in her soothing voice.
“Then who is to blame?”, Trembling, he asked her the same question again.
“Why do you want to put the blame on someone?”, She asked.
“I don’t know, everyday I wake up and I just can’t stop wondering who was responsible. I sit and wonder had I done things differently, would the situation be different?”, He shared his doubts with her.
“When a person can’t accept the situation he is in, he always finds someone or something to blame. Acceptance is more important than putting the blame on someone. Putting the blame on someone discharges all the responsibilities one has to take. Call it fate or karma or wrong timing. They may have different names, but they perform the same function. They ease the person of his emotional burden. Hence people find it easy to run away from the situation.”, She explained.
“So how was I not responsible for this?”, He asked all confused.
“Again, your mind is trying to run by pinning the blame on the body. Just try to accept the truth and stop thinking that anyone was responsible.”, Her voice started fading.
After this dream he stopped blaming himself, fate or wrong timing for the accident. He finally accepted that she was gone.
