Story time ; the young mad and his cat
Good morning dear steemians ,just like thirty straight days of falling snow or like 32 degrees below zero ,it's really cold tho it's cool when you have People around who cares and are fun to be with.oh yeah.
There's is this picture I drew yesterday and finally came up with an interesting story behind it![image.jpeg]
Once upon a time there lived a young man who had a sleek tabby cat. He was really kind to the cat and often fed her with milk and pieces of fish and meat. He allow the cat to move about freely during the day as pleased and in return the cat prevented rats from the house.
The young man had no family no mom no dad no friends but the cat which was given to him by his late grand mom. The young man said to the cat " hey kitty kitty, you are my only companion and with you loneliness would've been my doom. As excited as d cat was,she wished she could talk to him and tell him how much she love him but all she could ever do was to rub and purr her nose affectionately against his sleeve
Now it happened that #venus, the goddess of love passed by the young man's house and listened to the cat's secret. Few days later, the cat went hunting in the garden as usual,Venus cast a strong spell on her and changed her into a beautiful young damsel. The young man saw her and liked her and later fell in love with her. Her hair was all brown and her eyes blue. She had long, pointed and good looking fingers and toes and she moved so lightly and easily that she seemed to float over the ground
After a very short time, they were married. The young man and the girl were very happy together. During the day, she will clean the house, cooked dinner and mended his clothes while the young man was at work. In the evening, the sat together infront of the fire and talked about all the things they would do together. From time time to time he would say to her "if only you had seen my funny little kitty. Before you came she was all I had and I know you would have loved her too."
The girl would smile to herself remembering faintly that there had been other times that the man knew nothing about.
One evening,a year after their wedding,Venus looked down at them and said to herself "it looks successful but I wonder if it'll last". She decided to test her
Later in the night, just the couple fell asleep, a frightening mouse was at the corner of the house in search of food while giving a tiny squeak. At once the girl woke up and sat straight on the bed,her nose twitching, her eyes wide open in darkness. Then the mouse made a sudden dash across the carpet. The girl was out of the bed in a flash. Her long fingers pounced the mouse and raised it eagerly to her mouth.
As the young man watched in horror from the bed there was a small flash and high-pitched hissing noise. When he could see properly again, the girl had vanished. In her place stood a small tabby cat. The mouse had disappeared
The little cat shook her head a little,as if she did not quite know what was happening to her. Then with one Spring she WA on the bed beside him, rubbing her nose against his chest
"I don't know what happened ,but I'll glad to see you back again, little cat.
The moral lesson here is "you can't change your own nature"
