Why does death mobilize us?
Why does death mobilize us, even more than life itself?
How strange is the world, all yes; ALL, the whole humanity. No one would ever dare to ask for permission to visit a surprise family member, or to enjoy a loved one's birthday, or simply to visit, greet or share with a family member who is far away.
But with death yes, why does death mobilize us?
The employee is missing his job, the boss gives you permission without any "but", the money is not lacking and the time is enough to go to a funeral or burial to give the "last goodbye". Why the last goodbye, on a coffin and on a grave?
It costs us, or we do not know, or we can not, or we do not want to take advantage of the time in LIFE, for a greeting, a goodbye or a later, in the present body; with hugs, with caresses and even a tear but that are of joy or a passing sadness. But we do and undo in a death situation, we travel, we run, we get the necessary money, or the time and the opportunity; and why do not we do with life?
Perhaps the birth of a new baby of a family mobilizes few members who are far away, due to lack of time, lack of money, lack of organization, because they did not give a chance, because they did not give me permission to work, because they have not charged, but a death of a member of the same family, moves them all, there is always time, always get money, there is always a chance, always organized a million, we always get permission.
Why? A humanity that involuntarily wants to revolve around death.
Many of us stop doing things, or often postpone a meeting, a trip, a visit because afterwards there will be time and perhaps time will end and we will have to run to the same meeting, to the same trip to the same visit. And for what? if time is over and now it would only be ONE LAST GOODBYE.
