Success story from dating auction

This story is not a very old one. It takes place just when early summer sets in the year 2016. Two young people in the mid 20s, living totally separate lives met at a dating auction. What had happened was that secretly both of them were having a midlife crisis which had led them to this place.

The young lady, Elena, had just gotten out of a drastic relationship leaving her resentful towards men in general. It had gotten worse day by day and especially when all her friends had either gotten married, were engaged or in a relationship. She had taken the relationship seriously and had thought that her now-ex was the one for her. She believed he was her prince charming.

They had made promises to each other and he even got her a promise rings. Things were going perfectly great until one night he confronted her. It was a gloomy night, and a particularly quiet one. He broke it to her that night that he had been cheating on her with his assistant. This had broken Elena down. For months she could not get out of the house. Until one day her best friend forced her to go to a dating auction. Just for fun for she did not believe in meeting decent guys at the bar.

The young guy was facing the same situation but it was the other way round. He had been in an emotionally abusive relationship for quite some time and it was getting worse day by day. One day he decided to end it. His ex did not handle it to well but time healed her. He, however, was still in the shock of getting out of such a brutal relationship. So he decided to help people, so that it might give him inner peace. He went from charity events to auctions and all and that was how he ended to the dating auction event whose money was going to go for cancer patients.

Jack was very excited for this. Not only will he get a date that night but also help poor and attain inner satisfaction. He gave a huge amount of money for charity and in return got a date with Elena. They hit it off quite well. As both of the people had faced bad relationships, mutual trust had become a foundation of their relationship. After some time, Jack was offered a job out of state and yet again they couple had to part.

It was painful and infuriating. As much difficult it was to break up, parting ways made it more hurting. Years went by and Elena was offered a job out of country. One day she had gone for her morning jog and surprisingly she bumped into Jack. What a surprise it was for her.

They told each other how their jobs had been shifted to this country. They came into a relationship again. Only this time, Jack had proposed to marry her.
